Prosper & Adore

Our Story

We started Prosper & Adore because the shapewear category was broken.

Not the products. The thinking behind them. Every brand seemed to be solving the same problem the same wrong way — and blaming women's bodies when it didn't work. We wanted to build something engineered around how women actually live.

“The problem was never your body. It was the design.”

Three assumptions that broke everything.

Before we designed a single garment, we spent months looking at what other brands were doing — and where the failure points were consistent across the entire category.

01

Shapewear was engineered for standing still.

Almost every shapewear brand tests fit in a standing pose. But women don't spend their lives standing still. They sit at desks. They bend into cars. They lean forward at dinner. When your torso compresses at 90 degrees, single-density elastic has nowhere to go but up — which is why every woman we spoke to had a story about her shapewear rolling into a hard tube around her ribs the moment she sat down.

02

“More compression” was the industry's answer to everything.

The assumption seemed to be that if a garment didn't work, it needed to squeeze harder. But compression isn't a single dial. Your tummy needs firm smoothing. Your glutes need shape preservation. Your ribs need to breathe. Your back needs to sit flat without displacing tissue into visible rolls. Uniform compression treats every zone identically — which is why so many women ended up flattened, breathless, and still uncomfortable.

03

One fit system was expected to serve every body.

Most brands still show a single S/M/L/XL chart covering shorts, bodysuits, and bras — as if the fit logic for a high-waist short is the same as the fit logic for a wireless bra. A woman with a 36" band and a G cup does not fit the same size as a woman with a 40" band and a C cup, even if a generic chart claims they do. Ignoring that isn't simplification — it's why women don't trust size charts.

We designed Prosper & Adore around four principles.

I

Distributed Compression Over Uniform Squeeze

Every Prosper & Adore garment uses multi-zone construction — different densities engineered into different parts of the body. Firm where you want smoothing. Softer where you want shape preserved. Structured where you need vertical anchoring. This is how the garment can smooth your tummy without flattening your glutes, or lift your bust without compressing you into uniboob.

II

Engineered for Seated Movement

We test fit and function in real-life postures — sitting, bending, reaching, walking — not just standing still. Vertical polymer stays. Wide anchor bands with silicone grip lining. Laser-cut bonded hems that stay flat under fabric. Every construction decision is calibrated for how the garment behaves when you're actually living your life in it.

III

Product-Specific Fit Systems

Three products. Three different fit systems. Bodysuits need vertical measurements. Shorts need thigh clearance. Bras need band and cup calibration. We built a separate quiz-driven fit tool for each product — because pretending they share the same sizing logic is where returns come from.

IV

Honest Business, Honest Copy

No hidden subscriptions. No auto-billing traps. No fabricated reviews. No claims we can't substantiate. If we say a garment is CPSC-certified, we'll show you the certificate. If we don't have customer reviews yet, we'll say so. Every commercial promise we make is a promise we can defend.

Support that lets you think about the outfit — not what's underneath it.

Every woman we designed for was tired of getting dressed being an emotional event. The third outfit change before leaving the house. The pull at the waistband under the boardroom table. The countdown until she could rip the bra off. The wedding photo she avoided because she was tugging her shapewear back into place mid-shot.

Prosper & Adore exists to end that experience. Not through more compression, more coverage, or more products — but through construction decisions that let the garment do its job invisibly. The right piece, in the right size, engineered for the way she actually moves through her day.

The goal was never to help women look different. It was to give them one less thing to think about when they got dressed.

Three pieces. Three different jobs.

Each garment solves one specific problem. Together, they create one continuous foundation from bust to thigh — but each is engineered as a standalone answer to a specific failure mode we saw in the category.

Some things we've decided not to do.

Just as important as what we build is what we've deliberately chosen not to do — even when the industry norm made it easy.

No fabricated reviews.

We won't import supplier reviews from the original AliExpress listings our garments were sold under before we launched. Most brands do exactly that. We think you deserve better — every review on this site comes from a real Prosper & Adore customer, verified through Judge.me.

No subscription traps.

No hidden “VIP club” charges. No auto-billing programs. No mystery renewals next month. One purchase. One charge. In the currency you selected. That's it.

No absolute claims we can't defend.

We won't tell you our shapewear will “never roll” or is “100% invisible under every fabric.” Those claims aren't defensible under construction physics — and every woman who's been burned by shapewear knows they're marketing spin. We say what our construction is designed to do, and we back it with a 30-Day Fit & Sit Guarantee if it doesn't.

No medical claims we haven't earned.

Our garments are wardrobe sculptwear — not medical compression devices. If you're recovering from surgery or recently postpartum, please consult your GP, midwife, surgeon, or physiotherapist about what compression is appropriate for your recovery. We won't tell you our products are medically approved when they aren't.

The only promise we make is one we can keep.

Every Prosper & Adore purchase is protected by our 30-Day Fit & Sit Guarantee. Wear it. Sit in it. Test it in the outfit you bought it for. If it rolls, digs, flattens, or doesn't fit — we swap your size free or take it back. No restocking fees. No return-loop chatbots. No “sorry, all sales final on shapewear” small print. A real person handles every exchange, and we'd rather earn your trust with the product than trap you with the checkout.
